Farming and food security are facing many challenges that are expected to increase in the future due to growing populations, the decreasing number of people working in agriculture, and growing personnel costs in the use of mechanical solutions. Agroture is an autonomous agricultural robot that uses Galileo GNSS and Copernicus services to offer smart farming solutions. Its easy-to-use interface utilise space sensors to monitor land and agriculture and send relevant information to each farmer. Agroture’s operations are georeferenced using Galileo, which means it can provide maps and insights on a centralised interface on tablets or smartphones to help farmers manage and improve their productivity. Replacing traditional tools and democratising intelligent robots will ultimately increase efficiency and reduce waste and costs, including for small and medium farmers.
