Soilspect is a product that was developed for automatic monitoring of ground compaction using GNSS positioning. Before a road or another major construction is built, the ground needs to be compacted first, which is done by placing a heavy layer of sand on the original ground. To ensure that the compacted earth is stable and not sinking too fast, it has to be monitored continuously. This is usually done manually, which is a time-consuming and labour-intensive task. Soilspect automates this process using GNSS and in-situ monitoring sensors to provide a cheaper, easier, and more straightforward solution than current methods. Its dashboard also provides overviews of the collected data and offers evaluations that can be downloaded.
